There's a brand for everything. Sports, Thugs, Money Lovers, Music Fanatics, Artists. I feel like I've never aligned with any of them. Scud Rat was born through a combined love of modern design and craft mastery, the idea that nothing is fast, that it takes years of constant progress in the pursuit of perfection. It doesn't matter who you are of where you come from, the only thing that matters is the quality of what you produce.
I started a screen printing shop at the end of 2019 out of my Grandmas garage in West Auckland, I was living in the garage, my life dedicated to the craft, the only thing in that garage that wasn't related to screen printing was my bed and Grandmas washer and dryer. I've since moved out and have a new space, more equipment and most importantly a deeper understanding of what makes a print good.
What this brand aims to achieve is connecting with others dedicated to what they do, from tombstone makers to wood whittlers, from graphic designers to street artists, through clothing and events!
To anyone out there who purchases a print from me I thank you, and want you to know that the last few years of my life have gone into it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t like one of the pieces, can I return it?
You sure can! Just email me within seven days of receiving the item and we're happy to take care of the return shipping and issue a full refund. There really is no risk to try. Email me at hunter@printdude.nz and I'll the shipping address and other details.
How do I return?
If you are returning anything you must notify me by email or phone 7 days of receipt to guarantee a full refund to the original form of payment. Once you have notified me I will provide a prepaid shipping label for your return package. Once I receive the package, I will process the refund to your bank account.
What if the item I'm interested in isn't available?
There is a change in future I'll do a rerun on an item if the demand is high enough but they will be labelled as second edition, it's best to not sleep on it and just grab stuff while you have the chance, or just make sure you're on the email list/following the Scud Rat instagram for updates.
What do I do if I have questions on my order?
If you ever have any questions on your order you can email us at hunter@printdude.nz I aim to respond with 24 hours and resolve within 2 business days.
How often are new items added to the site?
I try to drop a new item every month. Make sure you check the Scud Rat instagram for updates or sign up the the emailing list so you don't miss out!
What if the sizing is wrong - can I swap a piece for a different size?
You sure can! Just email me at hunter@printdude and let me know. We'll be happy to switch for another size, but unfortunately runs are limited to a certain amount per drop so make sure you do it fast or else you will be fully refunded for your purchase instead.
How do I get in contact with someone at Scud Rat?

How do I pay?
I accept all major credit cards/debit cards, Paypal, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Afterpay will be available soon.
How is tax calculated?
Scud Rat is a New Zealand company, so Goods & Services Tax is calculated at 15% for all purchases made by New Zealand residents. Outside of New Zealand we do not charge tax. International orders may be subject to customs or duties fees.
How do I purchase if I'm outside of New Zealand or Australia?
I offer shipping worldwide and the cost will be calculated at checkout.
